Wedding Updo How-To

Trial Tips:

1. Schedule a trial up-do with the stylist you are planning on seeing the day of. Insure that stylist will be available the day of the wedding and schedule the appointment you want ahead of time. If you are planning on getting makeup, schedule a trial for this as well.

2. On the day of the trial bring pictures of any idea's you have. Bring several options so you can explore what looks best on you and will work with your hair.

3. Bring your veil and anything you plan to put in your hair to your trial. You will want to see the full picture when you decide on the final look for the big day.

4. Talk to your stylist about any products you should be using leading up to the big day and also what (if any) products you should put into your hair before you arrive at the salon.

5. Schedule several hair treatments leading up to the big day so your hair is healthy, shiny, and smooth.

6. Get your hair trimmed. Many brides grow their hair out before the big day, however if you don't get regular trims you will have uneven frizzy ends. This will make a nice smooth wedding style very difficult to achieve.

Big Day Basics:

1. Wash your hair the night before. I know there are rumors going around that you should have dirty hair... honestly that gross. Your stylist does not want to style your dirty hair and you are probably going to want smell nice on your wedding day.

2. Pack your veil and anything you will need for your hair appointment the night before, you do not want to forget anything on the big day.

3. Wear a button up. The last thing you want to do is have your hair put up in a beautiful style and then have to try to pull a shirt over it. Unless you plan on wearing your wedding dress when you get your hair done (which I do not advise) wear something easily removable so you are not messing up your hair.

4. No makeup. Do not wear makeup when you are coming to get your makeup done, then we have to remove it. Bring any makeup you love and just have to wear.

5. Definitely bring your own lipstick unless you plan on buying the one we use on you. You will want to touch up after meals and before pictures.

6. It's okay to cry. Let the tears flow and just blot them away, as soon as you fight the tears you will blink more than average. This smudges your eye makeup and will create a mess. Blot them as close to your eye as you can and the smudges will be minimal.
